Luxembourg is one of the world’s smallest countries, but is also one of the richest (per capita). Landlocked between France, Belgium and Germany, the rich landscape of hills and forests hides countless small towns and a volatile past. Despite having an area of less than 2600km², Luxembourg has over 50 castles, the most famous being Beaufort castle in the district of Grevenmacher.
